Taj Chander's debut EP is a play on the astrological term for a cluster of planets in the same zodiac sign. The album features electro-acoustic improvisations with recordings from outer space, lo-fi oceanic sound collages, an indie handbell choir, and contrasting otherworldly sonic expressions. Recorded in an urban church basement during the pandemic, Taj Chander's work connects the realms of deep space to deep water, and references many well known works by pioneers of electronic music. From beginning to end, Stellium is a multidimensional journey into Taj Chander's mystic prism that defies genre.
